Create a type face-The Glasgow School Of Art set brief
Typo 350

A found typewriter with no ribbon sparked an idea to crteate a new type face. The type face has been built up by the left over ink and rust engrained in and around each letter.
Letters that were used more frequently like 't' had a greater build up of ink due to exessive use when the ribbon would have been in place. The mark each letter individually makes could be looked at as a catalogue of that letters usage in the past.
The rules in creating the font are that each letter in the alphabet is stamped a different number of times over and over depending on its position in the alphabet.ax1 ex5 tx20.

The animation looks at the build up of the font from a-z. Then wanting to put my type face to the test, I wrote to my two friends.
The letters ran dry shortly afterwoulds.
